The story of Mowgli, the Man-Cub rasied by wolves in the jungles of India, is one of the greatest literary works ever created.

Rescued as an infant from Shere Khan, the tiger with blazing eyes, Mowgli is brought up by the Laws of the Jungle. He learns how to hunt and how to speak the languages of the Jungle creatures. As he ambarks on a series of thrilling escapades, Mowgli encounters such unforgettable creatures as Bagheera, the graceful black panther, Baloo the kindly brown bear, and Kaa, the snake with the hypnotic stare.

But Mowgli is a Man, and as he grows up he learns that he must take his place among his own kind. First, though, he must face his life-long enemy - Shere Khan - in a battle of wits and strength to discover who is the true King of the Jungle.
